This week is our first week back, and we have gotten straight into our learning!
This week was a special week for New Zealand, as Wednesday 6th February was the 179th year that the Te Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi) was signed and celebrated.
We learned about the treaty and that it was made to help everybody to work together.
"The Early Settlers came to Auckland and wanted to hunt the whales, and the Maori's were very angry. And they made a treaty and signed it." - Krisha
We also learned about our class artist and talked about how we could create art as awesome as our class artist.
"I want to use dinosaurs in my art." - Ayyan
"I want to use flowers and butterflies." - Renesmee
The hike around our school grounds has made us all very very tired and ready for a nap.
That is all for this week.
Have a great weekend!
