Shared Book - A Party for the Alley Cats

We read this amazing book this week - A Party for the Alley Cats written by Jill Eggleton

Look at our alley cats peeping through the windows. We also wrote in our speech bubbles what they are thinking after the party. It was so much fun making the cats.

Where the wild things are - Art

We read the book  - 'Where the wild things are'  by Maurice Sendak
Our art work inspired by this amazing story

 Wild thing

                                                                                          Max

Matariki Macarena

As part of our learning about different cultures, we read the story about Matariki, the Maori new year. Matariki is the eldest of the seven sisters and they are the seven stars that appear in early winter.
The sighting of this cluster of stars marks the beginning of the new year. This song tells us the names of the seven sisters.

Celebrating Cultural Day

We celebrated cultural day on Friday. It was fun to see everyone dressed up in their own cultural clothes
